UFS Dispensaries join the Macedon Ranges Health Centre
6 February 2017:
UFS Dispensaries has purchased two pharmacies in Gisborne in the Macedon Ranges region; Hardy’s Pharmacy in Brantome Street and Gisborne Pharmacy located within The Macedon Ranges Health Centre.
UFS is a member owned not-for-profit mutual organisation established in Ballarat in the 1880s. Profits generated by UFS are used to improve services for members, invest in their people and support the local community through sponsorship and donations. UFS operates seventeen pharmacies and three Medical Centres throughout the Western region of Victoria and in inner Melbourne.
Mr Don Tidbury, Chief Executive Officer of Macedon Ranges Health said “UFS’s not-for-profit ethos is closely aligned with Macedon Ranges Health’s and they will be a great support to the Gisborne community. They bring an enormous amount of technical expertise and experience gained from both regional and metro environments which will benefit our clients and residents enormously.”
Ms Lynne McLennan, Chief Executive Officer of UFS Dispensaries said “UFS is thrilled to open its two newest stores in Gisborne, and we are delighted to be working closely with Macedon Ranges Health to service the health needs of the community of Gisborne.”
UFS Dispensaries has a proud history of supporting community groups and projects, contributing over $25,000 in sponsorships and donations last year.
Mr Tidbury added “I would like to extend our warmest thanks to the previous Proprietor, Mena Mikhail and his team for the high quality pharmacy service they have provided. We wish Mena and his family all the best in their relocation to Tasmania”.
