Sarah Langtry, Speech Pathologist
Sarah is a passionate speech pathologist, dedicated to assisting those with speech, language and swallowing issues. She works with both adults and children, though has particular passion for working with adults.
Adult speech, language and swallowing difficulties can arise as a result of traumatic brain events (e.g. strokes, car accidents), degenerative disorders (e.g. Dementia, MS), as well as being age related.
Speech and language development in children is as individual as the child themselves. For some children, this may require assistance due to naturally occurring errors as well as being influenced by other factors such as Autism and developmental delays.
Sarah grew up and studied within the Macedon Ranges and for the last year has worked in rural Australia, with a variety of clients including clients from low socioeconomic situations, indigenous Australian’s and foster situations.
Sarah offers speech pathology services weekly on Monday, Thursday and Friday and fortnightly on Saturdays. Sessions can be held at the Macedon Ranges Health Clinic in Gisborne, as well as at homes, schools and aged care facilities.
Sarah works with clients privately, or through GP Management Plans, NDIS, EPC, WORKCOVER, TAC and DVA.
