The clinicians listed below are all based at the Macedon Ranges Health Centre in Gisborne however outreach clinics are scheduled regularly in Kyneton, Romsey and Woodend. MRH provides a range of services with varying access and fee criteria including government subsidised programs, access to private health rebates,TAC, Workcover and others.
Karin Fiedler - Podiatrist
Karin is a qualified Podiatrist. She has been working in the region for some time now. She looks after adults and children.
She has a keen interest in the biomechanics of the foot, diabetic feet, rheumatic feet, wound care and nail surgery.
She is also able to do custom orthotics and advise on foot wear.
Karin takes referrals from all GPs, GP Management Plan referrals and private consultations. She is available on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.
Sheridan Gilbert - Podiatrist
Sheridan is a qualified Podiatrist. She currently provides services at Macedon Ranges Health and the Royal Melbourne Hospital. Sheridan treats adults and children. She specialises in diabetes, amputations, wounds and infections, foot and ankle surgery.
Sheridan is available on a Wednesday and Friday.
Teagan Hawkens - Podiatrist
Teagan specialises in diabetic foot care and general foot care (toenails, corns, callouses).
She has experience with orthotics, plantar wart treatment, ingrown toenail management, wound care and foot/heel pain management.
She is available on Mondays and Fridays.
Ruth Mulkearns - Podiatrist
Ruth has worked as a Podiatrist since graduating in 1985 and has a broad range of experience including being Chief Podiatrist at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, The Royal Hobart Hospital and the John Lindell Rehabilitation Centre in Bendigo. However, Ruth found the flexibility of private practice to be more suited to family life and travelling with her husband’s work, establishing her own Private Podiatry Practice, Macedon Ranges Podiatry, working initially in the Gisborne Medical Centre and then Saint Mary’s Medical Centre. Since her return from Thailand in 2015 Ruth has worked in Aged Care, private work from home, and Bendigo Health including in patient and the High-Risk Foot Clinic.
With no plan for further travel on the horizon Ruth is excited to start a new clinic base at Macedon Ranges Health and is hoping to see some of her old clients again and looking forward to meeting new clients. She has a special interest in the high-risk foot and wound care, Diabetes foot care and general foot care of the older person. Initially Ruth will be available on Thursday afternoons, with appointments made through Macedon Ranges Health reception.
